I have used several flat irons throughout the past few years. Store brands such as Conair,Solia, Corlioliss,etc. Nothing was ever good enough on my hair. I have very thin hair, with a bit of a curl to it, and it gets very frizzy in humidity, and hot weather. The store brand straighteners just didn't cut it, i would have to straighten my hair multiple times throughout the day just to keep it straight. My friend had a CHI iron because her mom was a hair dresser, and i fell in love with it. It worked much better than any iron i have had before. UNTIL, i decided to buy one of my own, i did some research online, and found all these different brands of irons, and i saw the PHI Ionic Flat Iron and decided to give it a try. It was definitely worth the purchase. It was shipped to my house just a day and a half after i bought it online. It works amazing, keeps my hair straight even in the heat, and it only takes a few minutes to heat up, and to straighten my hair. It also worked much better than the CHI did. I LOVE IT!!!

This straightener is the best I've ever used!!!!!!
I have very thick and coarse curly hair! I have tried several other straighteners in the past. And paid a lot more money for one in the past. None work as well as this one. It is small enough to ge the hard to straighten areas around your face, but large enough that it doesn't take all day. I have had several comments on how good my hair looks since I purchased my PHI. I highly recommend!!!!

Ok, here's the deal. I've read some disturbing reviews and I am a little disappointed. A lot of people are saying it fried their hair; It's over three hundred degrees and if you use it every day, or even every other day it's going to do some damage. I have owned a PHI for over 5 years now and have not had any problems with the product. If you use a heat protection product, you shouldn't have a problem with damage. It all depends on the type of hair you have. If you're afraid it will damage your hair, contact your stylist first and see what they have to say.

if your looking for the perfect straightner, look no further! This PHI Always got the job done. my hiar is super wavy and very very very long. when i use other straightners it would usually take about an hour and a half to get it all straight but with the PHI i can have it done in 20 mintues or less.. no joke. i have always wanted one and when i got it in the mail (came in no time) i was very excited!! i dont regret buying it and i recommend this to any girl looking for the right straightner.

For $79.99 and free shipping, this purchase was a good deal. I am able to use the flat iron easily and quickly. It is effective, heats up fast and straightens my hair very quickly. I have a busy lifesytle, so speed, effectiveness and efficiency is important to me.
It becomes extrememly hot so you have to move fast through your hair. It would be more user friendly if it had a temperature control. I had other flat irons before that destroyed/dried out my hair. The PHI leaves it feeling very good. The key is to put a protection lotion/oil on the strands first and then use the iron. I have found that sectioning my hair before I iron yields a more pleasing result.
Since I read on previous reviews that one has to be careful of bending the top of the cord where it connects to the body of the iron, I have been careful, and have not had any problems with the unit.

I absolutely LOVE my PHI it's great! and my hair has gone from frizzy mess to smooth and sexy... but i'm studying in england this semester and i just found out that i can't use it! not eve with a converter! this is very upsetting to me! i use my chi quite frequently and i don't know what i'm going to do without it... i'm going to have to buy a different straightener which is awful for 2 reasons. the pound is now worth a little over 2 dollars, so i'm going to be spending twice as much. the other reason is it's going to be a lesser quality than the PHI i'm sure. i got my PHI from my aunt back home who is a cosmetologist and she said this was the best! so i just don't know what to do now! chi should definitely make them compatible with either 100-240 voltage or with the converter! as you can tell i love my chi and it's going to be awful to be without it for 5 1/2 months!

I have fine hair and usually it burns when I straighten it, but the PHI strightner makes it soft and shiny. I do use heat protector though. I personally don't think you should waste your money on anything else!

I live in a very humid state and havy naturally spiral curled hair. I had tried many flat irons before the PHI and only got frizzy, dry hair. Also my hair would not stay straight all day (about mid-day it would curl up and frizz). Then my best friend got a PHI and I used it a few times and told my mom I wanted one because it made my hair look absolutely sensational and kept it straight all day. Needless to say my hair was wonderful when the flat iron came in and I began using it has been so ever since I started using the PHI. Furthermore, after using the PHI for about three years my hair has actually relaxed quite a lot and I have shiny, wavy hair now from flat ironing so much. Buy this product and you will not be dissapointed. It is definitely the best flat iron on the market and worth every penny. I just recently had my PHI start to "act up", if you will, and I have had it for about three years. If you have gone through many flat irons in the past, don't waste any more money on the drugstore and "mall" brands they don't work one-fourth as well as the PHI does.

I've only tried 2 other flat irons before, $100 HAI ceramic and a $30 Revlon but I got the pink PHI a month ago and it's definitely the best. It performs similarly to the HAI but it's a beautiful baby pink. You wouldn't believe the beautiful curls you can make with this PHI! It takes some practice but you can make beautiful wavy curls in the less time and with less damage than with a wide barrel curler. I love that I can curl or straighten. My hair even looks healthier! Just make sure you use a good thermal protector before you use the iron. I use TIGI Catwalk Fashionista.

I bought the PHI after having 4 cheap flat irons- none of which lasted longer than a year or so. I finally, decided I would get a PHI and have not regretted it one bit. It takes half the time to straighten my hair and heats up so quickly! I have been overly impressed. T
My only bit of advice is when you purchase it tape the receipt to the box and throw it under the sink. If you have any issues send it back.

I love this SO much, I live in FL and it turns my slightly wavy hair into a giant frizz ball...my old Iron died and I got the PHI pink at TJMAXX for $24 dollars!! What a deal...it makes my hair soft and pin straight.

I love my phi! It works so great and I can do so much more with it than with my previous striagtener. The curls it makes are beautiful! You can make smaller and bigger sized curls, you can also wave, straighten, or flip with one tool! It leaves me hair so much softer than my previous Remington wet2straight. I wanted a chi for Christmas because it worked great when I used it before, then I saw this. For $30 at Marshalls, I thought I'd give it a try. I received it for Christmas and descovered everything I can do with it! I LOVE it :)

I LUV this fllat iron! My mom has a CHI so I used to use that a lot but then I got the pink PHI. It works just as good as the CHI and with its cute color you just cant beat it! Of course all flat irons are really really hot so you should use a flat iron protective spray so you dont fry your hair. I recommend DesignLine Get it pressed flat iron spray that can be found @ regis salons. Great buy I got it @ TJ max for $30. I would recommend it to anyone!

I have very thick coarse long relaxed hair, in between my visits to the salon, this Flat iron works WONDERS! Other Flat irons when I finish, didn't look Like I had taken 2 hours to straighten my hair! The Phi takes 30 minuets and my hair looks like I left the salon, very well with new growth! (to my relaxed hair sistahs) doesnt burn my hair, and doesnt dry my hair out! Simply but a leave-in conditioner or a heat protector and go! If you don't want to pay this much you can EASILY find one at Tj-Max for like 30 bucks!

I got mines in black, at TJMAXX for $30, and it's amazing! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. It doesn't pull/snag on my hair at all, which is a plus! Makes my hair incredibly soft and smooth. I love it. :)

I've been using this straightener for aboput a year now and although it does a decent job straightening, their are a few things that bother me about it. 1.) I think its hotter than necessary. 2.) It stinks up your whole bathroom... I got mine for $30 at Marshalls, and yes it was a good by for only $30, but its NOT worth $70!

I have always used my sisters straightener. Then I bought this on while on vacation in Florida. I love it. Not only is it my favorite color but it works great on my thick long hair. Will never go back to using my sisters.

I got this PHI straightener yesterday from Marshalls for only $19.99!!! I used it and was so amazed that it worked so much better than other straighteners. I used to have a 2-inch one that was so hard and tedious to use. But using this one only took me 5 MINUTES! Seriously. Get this product, you will not be disappointed.

This flat iron is a BEAST. I have medium length VERY thick hair that has not been relaxed for MANY months. I put some leave in conditioner in and used it this morning and my hair looks great! Shiny,soft and bouncy!

Ok like for reals I got my phi for $20at Tuesday morning! Ahhhh it was so great! It would usually take me an hour and a half to straighten my hair now it only takes 25 minutes, and my hair is thick and curly.

i just got the phi today from tjmaxx and it's been amazinggg so farr. the only bad part is when it starts up it makes whatever room your in smell badd. but anyways it has an amazing color, and the price was perfect for mee. i would deffinatly recommend thiss.

I bought a PHI straightener for $20 at TJMax. Get it there. It's a much better price.
I've tried many different drugstore straighteners. They were decent, but none left my hair feeling so soft.
The straightener doesn't have a heat dial, so use heat protectant on your hair. It's worth the investment (John Frieda at Walmart only $7).
The only problems I've had with this are...
1. my hair gets caught in the cracks where the plates are mounted. It snags a little, but if you use a small amount of hair (an inch or so), you won't have that problem
2. The plates don't fully touch when you close the straightener.
Other that that, I LOVE this product. I'm so glad I picked up the last one at TJMax.
I bought the PHI Ionic Tourmaline Ceramic Styling Iron.
Don't buy the pink one. For the same price you can get better quality. :)
